The Fire Department in Pasadena is the country's largest volunteer municipal fire department. Pasadena grew up to be a primarily working-class Houston neighborhood. Pasadena Historical Museum, Bay Area Museum, and Armand Bayou Nature Center are only a few of the city's museums. There is also a community theater in Pasadena, as well as an annual rodeo and the Pasadena Philharmonic.
